Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the chocolate fountain outside?
Unfortunately not, insects like chocolate even more than people do, and the flow of the chocolate is sensitive to wind and temperature changes.

What kind of chocolate do you use?
We use only imported Belgian chocolate. We have dark, milk and white chocolate.

What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept checks, money orders, cash, Visa, Master Card and American Express.

What if I want to supply my own dippables or my caterer won't allow the dippables to be brought in?
We charge separately for the chocolate fountain and for the dippables for this reason.

What is the deposit?
We require a $100 deposit and a signed contract to secure a chocolate fountain for your date. We will not hold dates without a contract and deposit for more than 14 days.

How many people will the chocolate fountain serve?
Because more chocolate can be added during the event, the chocolate fountain will serve an unlimited number of guests.

What are the sizes of your fountains?
We have a 34" fountain that is used for larger events. We also have an 18" fountain than can be used for more intimate events.

Do I have to set up, tear down and clean up the chocolate fountain?
Goodness no. A member of our team does all the work for you. We will arrive at your special event about 60 minutes prior to the designated start time. The chocolate fountain will carefully be set up and the chocolate melted and flowing when your guests begin to arrive. We then will clean up and dismantle the chocolate fountain at the contracted ending time.

How long can I have the chocolate fountain at my event?
Our package includes the use of the fountain for 2 hours. Obviously, this does not include set up and tear down, which are done on our time.

What are the electrical and table requirements?
Simply Decadent requires at least one - 120 volt circuit within 10 feet of the desired setup area that adheres to contemporary safety standards and supplies at least 15 amps. Since the chocolate fountain weighs approximately 100 pounds when full, a level, sturdy table is required.

Do you provide dipping items?
Yes, we do. Please refer to our dipping item list to choose items you would like to have for your chocolate fountain display. Please contact Simply Decadent for a price per person. Please be sure to check with your banquet facility to make sure they allow us to bring in the dipping items. Some venues do not allow an outside caterer to provide food of any kind in their establishment.

Do you provide the decorations for around the chocolate fountain?
We cover and skirt the table with linens and we will provide some decoration. We will wrap the base of the chocolate fountain with a thin fabric that will match your color scheme. We will also use lights, candles and some floral. Your chocolate fountain is to be the focal point, so you do not want to draw too much attention from that.

Will someone help my guests use the fountain?
Yes, when you rent a chocolate fountain from Simply Decadent an attendant will always accompany it, which means your guests will have full assistance.

Is your company insured?
Yes. Proof is always available if need be.
